Systems thinking training helps individuals and teams develop the ability to see the interconnectedness of parts within a system, understand how changes in one part can affect other parts, and use this knowledge to make better decisions.

Social innovation training equips individuals and teams with the skills and knowledge they need to identify and address social problems, develop new solutions, and implement them effectively.

The goal of learning Designing for Social Innovators is to equip the trainees with the skills and knowledge needed to design effective project proposals for addressing complex social issues.

Q. Explain the Vision and Mission of your organization SIEB.

Vision: To achieve a thriving Ethiopia with a sustainable and equitable society through social innovation.

Mission: To create a transforming social innovation ecosystem in Ethiopia that fosters sustainable solutions for complex social challenges.

Q: How much does it cost to join the SIEB program?

A: SIEB is a non-profit organization. You pay for the hardcopy workbook. Your organization will cover all the in-session expenses. In addition, if your organization could afford it, a minimum training will be charged.

 

Q: Who is the target audience for this training program?

A: Anyone who is interested in contributing to the development of Ethiopia is welcome to participate.  We usually target at the GO and NGO officials and community leaders working to solve social problems.

Q: What are the prerequisites for participating in this training program?

A: You need to believe that you can change and also help others and the country to progress.

Q: What is the format of the training program? 

A: In-person and blended training is preferable If not possible online delivery will be offered.

 

Q: How long do the training sessions last?

A: The total 40 hours of the training could be completed in five days or spread for many weeks. It depends on your preference.

 

Q: Will I be a certified SIE Builder?

A: Yes, you will be certified by us when you begin to coach youth and launch the social innovation ecosystem (SIE) in your location. That is, though the in-person sessions are over within 40 hours, you will have 30 days to debut SIE in any chosen place.

 

Q: What kind of resources does SIEB provide to its members?

A: SIEO provides various resources, including access to Worksheets, Audio Files, Coaching, networking opportunities, and collaboration with other members of the ecosystem, among others.

 

Q: How does SIEB measure the impact of its programs?

A: SIEB uses various impact measurement tools and techniques, including social return on investment (SROI), outcome harvesting, and Participatory Monitoring and Evaluation (PM&E), among others.

 

Q: Can I join the SIEB program if I am not based in Ethiopia?

A: Yes, you can join the SIEB program even if you are not based in Ethiopia. However, please note that some of the programs and training may be specific to the Ethiopian context.
